The Plattekill Public Library is a part of the Mid Hudson Library System, which serves libraries in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Putnam, and Ulster Counties. The school district that we serve is the Wallkill Central School District. Check out the Plattekill Dash Newsletter - the Library has just celebrated their 50th Anniversary - and there is some exciting improvements coming soon. Above: A 1973 Image of the Modena School (Now the Plattekill Library). The two photos to the left: This photo was just given to me today by someone who discovered it in a file of unrelated documents. What a wonderful find, especially on the first week of school! 1938 image of 7th and 8th grade students in the Modena School (today the former Modena School building is the Plattekill Library). Below: 2024 Marks not only the 50th Anniversary of the Library but the new improvement that is being planned for the horizon. Stay tuned for details.
